Freshly Ground

By chance I happened along this wonderful little coffee shop in Downend near Bristol. Outside it is extremely well presented and only matched by the excellence of the cosy comfortable presentation inside. I've added a picture of the staff who were there on the day who gave me excellent service, They were friendly, helpful and professional creating the impression that nothing would be to much trouble. The menu is creative yet familiar and the service timely, efficient and friendly. I witnessed a coffee cautious customer being guided through the options without even a hint of the condescending tone you might experience elsewhere. Been to many different cafes over the years - this one tops them. The food is incredible, the people are very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is very chilled with some lovely music playing (often Blues). If you're looking for somewhere that's affordable and takes your taste-buds to another level, then give Freshly Ground a try! You won't be disappointed.

Great service from the friendly staff, and the cakes are epic! The babychino comes with a biscuit and cream on top for a special treat with little customers!

I come here all the time as the coffee is by far the best I have had and I haven’t found any better. The food is always incredible and they have a great selection of cakes. The whole atmosphere of this place is so relaxing and the staff are all so kind and friendly. Definitely a favourite place for me to come and recommend it to everyone.

This is simply the friendliest cafe around. Helen and April go out of their way to give everyone the warmest of welcomes whether they are daily regulars or just passing through. Food is awesome - you’ve got to try the frittata deluxe!

A lovely, friendly local cafe. The staff are always welcoming and, as I've become a bit of a regular, know what my preferences are. Background music is usually nice and not too loud. Prices are very reasonable and it's a good place for me to pop in so I can rest my bad back for a while.

One of the best in town. Lasagne was perfect Burger are very good and fresh. Very cozy and friendly staff. Great place to have meals with friends. Will def come again.
